How to Download and Install India Rupee Font
- Download the Rupee font (.ttf file) and install in your computer fonts folder (typically C:WindowsFonts).
Or
1. Go my Computer
2. Click C: Drive
3. Open Windows Folder
4. Find & Open Fonts Folder
5. In Font Folder click File menu at the top of the window
6. Click or Select Install New Font
7. Select your downloaded font source (ie c: drive or desktop)
8. Click Select All Button
9. Click OK
10.Install completed successfully

How to Use the Indian Rupee Symbol in Microsoft Office
- Download the Font (Rupees Foradian) provided by Foradian Technologies Inc (http://blog.foradian.com)
- Install the font. (Copy the Font to Control Panel -> Fonts Folder)
- Change the Font from the default (Times New Roman/ Arial/ Calibri) to Rupees Foradian Font.
- Type the Rupees Symbol in Microsoft Word through the grave accent symbol - ` (the key just above "tab" button in your keyboard).
The process can be tweaked so that you can type in any font in MS Word yet you can get the Rupees symbol:
In MS Office 2002
1) Select the symbol (ie. Just like you do while copy pasting anything)
2) Click on Tools -> Autocorrect
3) In the Replace Text Box type in Rs.
4) Click on Add -> Ok
In MS Office 2007/ 2010
1. If you want to add a formatted text entry, open the document that contains the text that is formatted the way that you want, and select the Rupee Symbol.
2. Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Word Options.
3. Click Proofing.
4. Click AutoCorrect Options.
5. In the Replace Text Box type in Rs. (You may also need to change the formatting stle from “Plain Text” to “Formatted Text”)
6. Click on Add -> Ok
Microsoft Excel
Go to setting ----- > control panel ------> regional & language option ------> customize ------> then click currency tab
Put currency symbol as " ` " click ok
Open excel
go to format cell (Ctrl + 1 command)
click to Number tab ------- > select currency as " ` " & ok it
select fonts as Rupee_Foradian.ttf
How to type the Rupee symbol?
We mapped the grave accent symbol - ` (the key just above "tab" button in your keyboard) with the new Rupee symbol. Just select "Rupee" font from the drop down list of your fonts in your application and press the key just above your tab button. It will display our new rupee symbol. Try it.
Limitations
The "Rupee.ttf" font is necessary to view the currency symbol. So as long as the new symbol is not encoded in to Unicode font by default, we can’t use the symbol universally.
